founding offer terms

these terms apply to the waitlist-only founding offer for cognoscene premium. they supplement our terms of use and privacy policy. cognoscene is operated pre-incorporation from singapore by its operators (not a registered company at the time of this page). not legal advice.

1. offer summary

free trial: 2 months of premium access at no charge after you install and activate during the founding beta;
price after trial: usd10 · one-time · united states dollars to lock in lifetime premium;
what you get: lifetime access to the premium feature set available at the time of purchase, including unlimited tracked sites and dashboard access as described in the product at checkout;
who qualifies: waitlist members we invite to the founding beta, subject to eligibility checks;
cap: 100 founding spots;
window: waitlist closes 30 days after public launch or when the cap is reached — whichever comes first;
when you pay: not at waitlist signup. payment is offered after install when your batch opens and you choose to upgrade before or when the 2-month free period ends.

2. “lifetime” defined

“lifetime” means for as long as cognoscene continues to operate the premium service as a consumer product under substantially similar functionality. it is not a promise of perpetual existence of the company, any specific feature forever, or future tiers we have not yet built.

if we materially change, sunset, or replace the product, we will use reasonable efforts to provide equivalent premium access or a fair remedy (e.g. pro-rata refund or migration path). we may add new features that are not included in founding access if they are sold separately as a distinct product tier.

3. same email rule

you must use the same email address for (a) waitlist / beta identity, (b) google sign-in in the chrome extension, and (c) stripe checkout. if emails do not match, premium may not unlock automatically. contact cognoscene@gmail.com with your receipt for manual review.

4. payment

payments are processed by stripe;
upgrade only through the in-extension founding flow — not via public payment links shared in chat;
prices shown at checkout are final for that session, excluding applicable taxes if any are added by stripe or law.

5. refunds

founding beta policy (pre-scale):

7-day cooling-off: if you paid for founding access and request a refund within 7 calendar days of purchase, and you have not materially abused the entitlement, we will refund the usd10 payment via stripe;
billing disputes: if you do not recognise a charge or believe it was made in error, contact us promptly at cognoscene@gmail.com. we aim to resolve billing disputes within 24 hours by refunding where appropriate rather than disputing micro-charges;
after refund: premium access is revoked;
ineligible purchase: if you were not on the waitlist or not eligible, we may auto-refund and decline to grant access.

this policy may be updated for future public pricing. founding members who purchased under these terms retain the refund rules that applied at purchase unless we notify you of a change required by law.

6. no resale or transfer

founding access is personal to the purchasing account. you may not resell, transfer, or share entitlement except where we explicitly allow it in writing.

7. chargebacks

if you have a problem, contact us first. filing a chargeback without contacting support may delay resolution. we may revoke access and block repeat abuse. see our general terms of use.
